Another explanation could be Sportfishing probably uses a telephone solicitation service to handle the calls, they don't do it themselves. The contracted company gets a percent of any subsciptions made using their calls, along with a flat rate to make the calls. This our state (NJ) FOP Lodge uses a similar type outfit to call for fundraising, and the callers can be REAL RUDE, and people think it's the FOP org making the calls, which I don't believe in anyway. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to complain about, as the magazine has no control over the caller, and you can't ID the caller personally either to complain about him/her. Only thing is to find out from Sportfishing if that's they way they do it, and if so and they get enough complaints they will use another company. Does wanna make you give em a free trip to the canyon!
