WIth all due respect to Pat, I absolutely disagree with cutting a properly, stress properly, glassed bulkhead away from the hull. In any good custom boat, bulkheads are commonly glassed to the hull. In my B20, I glassed in every bulkhead and they are perfect in every way, even having survived some bone-jarring rides to and fro the fishing grounds I frequent. I follow the "Carolina Custom" lay-up schedule of overlapping tabs on both sides, then fair them in to create a seemless and perfectly strong, reliable, not to mention watertight, bulkhead. 5200? no thanks...
