After you get an estimate, check with your local Cummins Distributor (Don't know where you're at) New England guys have Cummins Northeast, Northern Jersey and New York City area have Metropower, and South Jersey to Maryland have Cummins Power Systems.
They may have a re-con engine with a warranty for close to the same prices as having one rebuilt. Deal with the distributor direct, marinas and installers tend to get their hands in the mix.
