In Response To: draining Yanmars (John Cranston)

John-If you didn't have the batteries unhooked, you could disconnect your sea water intake hose from the engine raw water pump and reconnect a hose of the same diameter and feed it to a plastic garbage can into which youve dumped about 3-4 gallons of anti freeze (the RV biodegradable kind). Kick over the engine and let it run and in a minute or so you'll see the anti freeze exiting your exhaust. Shut her down and that's it. I assume you're using anti-freeze in the closed "Fresh water" part of your system. Walter
