I'm laying my boat up for the winter as we speak. Came out of the water Monday after I winterized the raw water cooling system and changed the oil and the oil filters. Tuesday I opened the hull drain plug, winertized the head, hlodind tank and salt water wash down. And took the props off-- the stbd props need a little work as we hit a piece of wood on the way to AC last summer.
The boat must be on level ground and sitting with three blocks under the keel. Need at least four stanions at the chines to keep it balanced. The yard checks the stanions every week or so to make sure there not sinking into the ground. Also took the air filters off to clean( did I ever tell you guys' about them?) nd wrapped plastic wrap around the intake so as to keep out the moisture. Then I wrapped them carefully with a towel. This makes me "feel good". ( No ,I am not a liberal). Then We put paper in the exhaust ports so as to keep the cold wind and wetness out.
And THEN, put four 100 watt bulbs hanging down between the BigBlocks to keep those big girls cozy.
So there it is.
Yep, I love the boat!
