We were introduced to CX about 6 years ago by Da Judge, the Prince of Potions. The stuff was developed by a Dallas aviation outfit as an anti corrosion potion for aluminum airframes. It is a thin film technology and is sneaky as s**t. It will go where no penetrating oil will, actually get between the corrosion or oxidation and the underlying metal and just simply lift the corrosion off. It will not hurt anything, period - maybe the exception is LCD displays, but I've used it on the sealed keypad of my Sitex autopilot head that has a LCD display in it and it creeps thru the membranes of the keypad but not under the glass of the LCD. Nothing better for long term care of breaker panels, electrical plugs, switches, etc.
A few weeks ago the heater in my Tahoe quit blowing hot air, so I poked around and finally shot the wires & plugs going to the hot water valve under the hood and the next morning it blew hot air. Magic in a can. I figure one $15 can will save you at least a grand in crap going out.
