cavatation prop damage

i mention this 440hp yammar powered 72mph cruise fishing cat in a earlier post.this week the cat was on the yard huge fork lift ready to be winter protected.the 4 bladed props look like new the owner pointed out the 3/4" diameter tubes installed horizotal to the trasom the tubes bring outside air to the props eliminating the air bubbles and turbulence that causes the props to self destruct from cavatation.quite a interesting obsevation it works and this boat does 94mph top end in 4 footers!
