as we have all been having problems with the gas situation, so have I. short version 454,7.4 merc blue water. after engine is hot slow to idel then try to get it up on plain, will not go up loss of power then engine will shut down. wait 5 min restart and will run fine. yeaterday the mech and I opened the vst ,Vapor separator tank. the fuel screen was covered with a black film that had to be cleaned with carborator cleaner. the bottom of the vst tank had the same film.there was now way for proper fuel flow through the screen. to late to run the boat yesterday, the temp this morning was 28 deg. will wait for it to warm up and see if this is the fix....Russ
