If your engine doesn't shut off at the key, there IS a manual shutoff lever on the injector pump. Just pull it. As far as the film coming out of your exhaust. Is the engine running smoothly? It could be a leaky injector. Just as you would do with a gasser (pulling the wire from each sparkplug to find which cylinder), you can crack each injector line. There should be a difference in idle with each one. Keep a rag over the cracked nut to control fuel squirting. If your engine is idling fine, I'd suggest you check your transmission fluid level. If your oil cooler (the small horizontal tank at the stern of your engine) has an internal leak (happens with age), the transmission oil will leak out in your exhaust and look the same as a fuel leakage. If that's the case, better you should find it out at the dock. I found out coming in from offshore. The cooler is easily replaced or rebuilt. As far as the stop solenoid goes, it can be replaced, too. I'd invest in a new one if the problem persists before an injector pump rebuilding as that is an expensive number. Hopefully, you might not need it. Walter
