Rawleigh,
It would be much cheaper to put a seperate system on the engine if that is what you want.Oil in itself will cling to the bearing and journal surfaces, so you are not really starting dry. There are additives that will help improve this.
I read their ad and it is misleading. It states that it will help reduce ring wear.
Under normal running pressure there is no oil squirted onto the cylinder walls unless you have an engine that has an oiler system which is not common.
Wall lubrication is had by the crank spinning and throwing the oil up onto the walls. If the engine is not running, then you are getting no wall lube, as in the prelube system.
Thus you cannot reduce ring wear by pre lubing.Todays engine oils will handle most dry starts unless its been sitting for real long periods of time.
I have found that bearing wear is about last on the list for rebuilding an engine unless there is a mechanical problem related to bearings which is not common.
In all reality will prelubing the engines you use in a 31 make them last longer, I doubt it.
Using real good oil and changing often is the key.
Under extreme conditions, using an additive like Lucas oil products or the such can help.
Stay away from any of the honey products like STP.Bruce
