Faithful, I am pleased to report that the first ever Coon Ass Cypress Knee Removal System (pat. pending) prototype has been engineered, assembled, and tested today. It consists of a large Chinese wood chisel welded to a 3/8 steel rod, which in turn is welded to a ground off .401 Parker taper air hammer bit. All parts purchased at Harbor Tool for less than 10 bucks. My air hammer is also pristine Chinese, think it was 17 bucks a while ago. Anyway, even with the little puny air hammer it will go right through roots with just a little pressure on the gun.
Will test at the camp this week on some knee roots. Obvious improvement is a bigger and longer stroke air hammer, and maybe a lighter tint glass in the welding helmet - had trouble seeing what I was doing, but just turned the amps up on the stick machine, put it on reverse polarity DC, and zapppppppp. Damn, this inventing stuff is fun..... I'm entertaining offers for franchises to sell the CACKRS, get your territory before they are all gone.
