In my B26, I have two different types of metal,

First, there are the bronze bonding straps that interconnect all metal fittings.

Second, it appears that the baffles are metal as well. Any moisture (sitting low on fuel in a humid environment) will allow that metal to start to rust.

I installed Racor water seperator type filters that seem to do a pretty good job of getting it out and still letting the fuel flow. I also have a screen on my pickup in the tank.
