Rotten Bulkhead and Holy Hatchcover (PICS)

Here's the port bulkhead of my 28' Bertram:

The rot extends at least 18" up and is pretty comprehensive. The window is original and shows its age

This shot shows the starboard side too. Though looking a little tired it is sound with no rot or damage.

I hate to replace both when only one's rotten. But I'm not sure a repaired/replaced port would look right with a stock starboard side remaining.

What about repairing the port side, replacing both windows and painting both bulkheads?

Also, is there an expedient method to fill/repair these drilled holes in the engine hatch?

Thanks!
