Cypress knee update

Me & the Bride been over at the camp since Thursday afternoon. Nice place to spend our 39th anniversary. Before I get to the cypress knee removal saga, let me mention that every time I think Coonasses have come up with the best food product ever, another Coonass tops it. Let's talk sausage. There are dozens of big and little Coonass meat places, think the french is boucharie - that make all kinds of sausage. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago we were doing our Friday morning shopping at the Piggly Wiggly supermarket in Springfield, LA, where the camp is more or less, and got some Richard's (pro. - Ree-chard's) Krazy Kajun mixed meat (half pork, half beef) green onion flavored smoked sausage. Best we ever had by a factor of 10, which is saying a lot.
Anyway, back to the cypress knees. The sawsall did not work, as the dirt clogged up the teeth of the blade and when it hit the roots holding the knee, just shook everything. I have not given up on it tho, got a blade today with much bigger teeth. It has promise, will try next week. The air hammer with a 3/4" chisel blade will go right thru the stuff, but need a wider blade, maybe 3", on about a 2' rod, so will get the rest of what I need to make the Shrimp Pimp's welded deal tomorrow.
Since some of my knees, after being whacked for years with a commercial lawnmower by the fat girl lawn service, are the size of a loaf of bread, I'm thinking that after severing the 'in' and 'out' roots, the way to pry them out of the ground is one of those old fashioned log rollers with the spike on one side and the hinged hook on the other - just engage the tool and with that 4' handle, just roll the knee out of the ground.
What ya'll think? Oh yeah - AJ is supposed to see the sun for the first time in 13 weeks this coming week. Repairs to start very soon.
