Randall--
I'm not real sure exactly what your problem is, but I'd start by getting as much of the old gas out as you can. Then put Marvel Mystery Oil in some fresh gas alog with Sta Bil to preserve it. If you use Av Gas, you won't need the Sta Bil. The MMO whould help any sticky valves and lube the top end, decarbonize etc.
For engines designed to run on leaded fuel, a shot of Av Gas is the magic bullet. The lead in the fuel actually coats the valves and acts as a lubricant. That coating will last some time, so an occasional dose will do. It's OK to mix the Av Gas with the unleaded, and probably a good idea. Regular leaded auto fuel had .5 gram lead per gal. 100LL Av Gas has 2 grams per gallon, 4X what your engines were designed to run on.
So adding some Av Gas every now and then will recoat the valves, and help to stabilize and preserve the junk gas we are getting. The MMO every so often is also a must, as well as Sta Bil if the fuel is going to sit for any time.
Happy Thanksgiving
Trey
