Nice Boat. The one thing I've found on these boats is to try and maximize your space. Multifunction machines are a must. UV is on the right track with the Garmin product, but it's not the only one. Northstars 6000i series, Raymarine E & C series, Furuno's 17-1900 series, Garmins 2006/2010 and 3006/3010, these are all well respected in there own circles. The larger the screen the easier its gonna be to see all that information. I've opted for 2 of the same type units to share and split the data, for instance if I'm in fog I'll dedicate a unit to radar function and fish and plot off the other. It also allows you the safety of a back up everything via the black box networks. The thru the hull transducer is a great picture but you can get close with no holes by using an oil box mounted in the hull and you can get 1KW tranducers to maximize the picture.
With regard to outriggers I think the best look is the updated mounting forward on the house or off the flybridge. Single spreader rupps with the 8ft base tubes offer a clean line. And you could argue they were built around the end of the 31 production (call them rockaway riggers if it makes you feel better) so its not a far leap. Remember you should keep your tips even with the transom and find a line on the house or flybridge to follow.Hope it helps
