In response to the screws galling....Consider replacing the screws with Stainless Threaded Rod and install them with TefGel and then use nuts to on the studs to tighten the rod holder in place. The nuts and Studs then can be of similar metals and can be later disassembled.
If you install a screw into a "Blind" tapped hole there is always a chance that the screw will bottom out before it tightens up properly on the rod holder. A stud/nut configuration will rememedy this problem also.
