Craig,

When removing my props I find that if they won't come off with the nut and hammer, I will go to Fred Schall Marine and rent their prop puller for about $20+ refundable deposit. The puller attaches in 3 places on each blade and a bolt on the end of the shaft. You tighten the bolt with a wrench and the porp will pop right off the shaft. Just be careful when you hear it pop because everything (prop and puller)litterally slides off the prop together.
