Cross-linked Polyethelene Fuel Tanks will last pretty much forever provided they are both built to proper specifications and supported properly. The material is non-porus and chemically inert. A couple of drawbacks are that the material is really not strong enough for large tanks (without unreasonable wall thicknesses) and the molds are expensive to fabricate, so custom tanks are probably too costly.
