B31 bankruptcy auction in LA *LINK*

There is an old B31 hardtop (no f.b.) coming up for acution in Livingston, LA - about 20 miles east of Baton Rouge - on Dec. 3 at 9:30 am CT. I took a quick look at it last Friday. It's on a homemade gooseneck trailer that looks like it could hold the Titanic, 3 axles, but rusty. The flyer said it was diesel, but it was sitting up so high on the trailer I could not get in without coaxing the Bride to drive her Mercedes up to the side and me hop on the hood. She was not real keen on even being there in the middle of a hay pasture with a lot of other junk around, so I didn't push my luck. Sorta remember the blonde that ran over her hubby 3 times with her Mercedess in the Houston parking lot.
Anyway, it's an old La. Wildlife & Fisheries patrol boat, has the original old round decals on the side windows. I figure someone bought it years ago at a state auction and then went broke, so it's now up at a bankruptcy auction. I was able to just get a peek in the cockpit, and half the deck was out and the engine boxes were loose, but over some sort of engines, don't have a clue what the engines are. The boat is rough, altho it appears to have been painted, at least the hull, pretty shiny. The bottom looks OK, blue bottom paint and some slopped on the trailer. Running gear looks new, appeared to be inch and a half shafts, no props. Oversize stainless rudders, even bigger than Patrick's, stick out about 4" past the transom.
I had a vision of fooling with it, but around here all the boat yards are destroyed, so unless you do it all yourself, just no where to have anything done. So I'm gonna pass on it. It is a sound hull, and seems to have good running gear, 5 or 6" exhausts, but don't know the engines or gears. Was gonna pass by again tomorrow on the way to the camp (me & the Bride have decided our 3 day weekends at the camp need to expand to 4 day weekends) but not gonna stop. Andre' says he may go look at her.
Anyway, any of the Faithful looking for a project boat with trailer might want to check it out. It is a bankruptcy auction with a 10% buyer's premium, and is at V. Watts auctions in Livingston, La. I know the owner of the actuion place, Mr. Vallery Watts, a super guy, but he knows nothing about the boat. He owns a big country furniture store out there, can sell you the fanciest Lazy Boy made, and I'll post up the link for contact info. Go to the acution link on his website.
I took a few exterior pix if anyone wants to see them, best bet is to email me here at home so I can shoot the pix back in jpeg (small format) to you.
She sure would look pretty with a small tower, etc.
