Brian, I'm relatively new at this game. The Pacific has been limited to the last 5 years or so, really just semi-serious at best the last 3 years. I fish the west coast of Mexico 15-25 days a year, my location is depending on where the parole officer(wife) wants to go.

As far as Zihuatanejo, I really, really love that place. For both its fishing and laid back scene. Got to tour the Parthenon this year, unfreaking real and disturbing. However, I only made it once there this year, at a friends invite at that. Regarding stats, 9 sails and a blue for one day is pretty darn good for the area, most areas. Not sure what your comparing too, but sign me up if it gets better than that. Frankly, that's substantially better than our running average for Zih/Ixtapa. I'll never claim to be an profishing expert, just a slightly better than average tourist. Good luck and regards-Tom
