Sorry I believe BoatUSless missed the boat on this one. Boats in the Midwest and Great Lakes areas have been running on corn juice for years. BoatUSless now thinks the problem is with mixing ETOH and MTBE that exists in older gas and in storage tanks. ETOH likes to absorbe water. This leads to phase seperation where the water goes to the bottom of the tank. This water, ETOH, gum and varnish and of yes don't forget the leftover MTBE makes a "soup" that "F's" up everything. BoatUSless jumped the gun and said the goo that was clogging everything up was from dissoving the old fiberglass tanks. Now they are saying it may be crap in the tanks of years of use that the ETOH is disolving. It is too early for a 100% answer; but let's see if they print a retraction about ETOH dissolving fiberglass tanks.
Just my 2 cents
