The aircraft window manufacturers recomend using only Mineral Spirits for removing adhesives. It will not damage the plastic, and will remove most adhesives. You will probably need to soak it with rags like you have done the detergent, but with enough soaking, it should remove it. The aircraft folks also say to use only a clean piece of flannel to clean plexiglass windows, not terry because it holds small particles of dirt that will scratch the plastic.
