Last week I fished with a friend from Connecticut on a 31 downeast workboat just east of the BB buoy southeast of Nantucket island cape cod. We left the Merrimac river at 2;50 am and steamed 16knts for 125 nautical miles and arrived on the fishing grounds at 10;10am,,,I personally saw 20 fish taken, either bent butt, dragged ,or tied off out of 35 taken from 85 boats, amazing,,,,,,,,,,,we got nothing but fish taken all arround us. We steamed back to Hyannis about 47 nautical miles at 5;15 and arrived at 8;20.,.,.,My friend called me yesterday as they went back out thurs stayed out overnight and came back in friday about 3pm.,.,.,they had lost 2slobs and took 1 that dressed at 480.,.,which was taken at 6;30 p.m. in the "dark.,they do bite at night .,This is all drift fishing in the shipping lanes and :flood Lights are critical,.,.I was wondering what the canyon fisherman are using ,.,.,.D.C. A.C what make model.,.,.,I have the ability to go either way because D.C. I can run the generator thru the inverter and recharge the batteries while I am draining them with the High wattage d.c.lights.,or I could go A.C. and run them from my generator ... I was wondering what the members of the board who do these overnighters use for floods and with both options readily do/able which would be better in regards to cost and practicality,,,D.C. could be a 20amp rated push pull on the flybridge wall in front of your knees,,,A.C. would be a regular light switch and a little more work, probably on an overhead in the galley.,.,.,whats everybody using ? would you do it differently now? How? and what would you use now,,having done it,,,its wide open for me,,d.c A.C. do they even make a.c. lights to mount on the back and sides of tower etc,,,
and 1 more thing,,,,,,remote controlled adjustable spot light for spotting Buoys in the dark.,.,.any suggestions as to a very good unit
