Ike, no, don't know where the Centurion ended up. Her owner, Doc Jordan, who had just built a fancy new house in Jesuit Bend that got flooded, called me here in Baton Rouge about a month after Katrina, and he had evacuated here and was staying with a friend. He was clueless about what had happened in Venice and tried to argue with me when I told him his boat was not in the slip at Venice Marina when we overflew it two days after Katrina - it was easy to tell him that since there were NO boats there, all MIA. Now this morning the owner of Seaborrk Marine in N.O. tells me Dr. Jordan had called him and said he had found Centurion and the engines started right up and he was taking it to the north shore of Lake P. Who knows. Hope the second or 4th hand info is right, we need no more B31's bashed up.
If you need help finding your boat, call my son, Capt. Brent Roy, at 225 268 8420. He has contacts, boats, Cat equipment, and a permit to work down there. Tell him his Pop sent you, and that's good for a laugh from him. He is a busy guy right now doing debris removal with his crew at both Venice Marina and Cypress Cove. And he's back fishing out of Cocodrie. Told me last Sat. he had 4 boats fishing a big Dodge dealership group and they caught 428 specks.
