In Response To: 40 year old gelcoat (guy)

On my 1966 B31 I wet sanded the Gelcoat with 1200 grit, then buffed with 3M heavy duty compound, followed by swirl remover and wax. You can work your way through some heavier grits on bad spots, but be careful about sanding through as the Gelcoat can be thin in spots. This year I tried a line of products recommended by another poster called "Yacht Brite" that worked well. They are also endorsed by Sea Ray. They have some heavy duty oxidation removers. Rawleigh
