I have a few cents to chime in with.

As mentioned if you like the 31, it has lots of potential and is one of the very few that hold or increase in value.

Depending on your skills, how deep your pockets are and time you can commit to the project, a restoration will be a huge endeavor with little reward till your done. Unless you enjoy the work for itself.

Me, I went for a running boat and do maintance and upgrades in the off season, using it during the boating season.
