Your absolute-ly correct my partner and I bought a "runner" new Cummins good shafts nice electronics. Then as you get into the project you find the good stuff, front half tower legs punched through house deck, soft deck supports, and so on and so on.
But you need to remember we own the 69 corvette of the sport fish world. Its not the fastest, not the most comfortable and not the newest but no other boat has the heritage of the B31.
We own a piece of history and every one that has one should realize it. Take care of them, repair and improve them because they are certainly something special.
Then be prepared to dump another 60K cause 50 just ain't enough.
