Now let me add some reason to the insane that have posted.
Repairing a wrecked or structuraly unsound boat is much different than minor or semi major repairs on a sound hull, superstructure with intact wiring and such.
It's also one thing to buy it and hand it over to people like Pat and I or do it yourself.
While I don't know the specifics of everyone's 31 here, I only know of one of you guys who stripped it down to the hull and re did everything ala Buddy Boy.
Certainly a heavily damaged boat hull will qualify to such a redo.
Every stringer, hull spot and such will need to be inspected and that will require ripping up just about everything to inspect and repair the hull.
Just ask George Bingham about doing it the fast way.
Eveything mechanical, electrical and such will need to be replaced if submerged.
The engines if they have not been run are trash. Period.
Pickling won't do a damn thing. If the engines were not started after raising within a half day at the most, they are trash.Pickling is a waste of time if you are not going to run the engine.
Even if you did all the work yourself, figure on a minimum of 50k to redo a boat with gas. Plus the purchase price of the boat.
For 50k, you can already buy a running 31 with gas.
Starting to see the picture. If it all were this easy, Pat and I would be buying junkers and fixing them up and making a profit.
If your still interested and have the electrical, mechanical and fiberglass ability to perform the redo, then good luck.
