Old School diesels and another nut job

I'm at the point on this latest 31 repower with the QSB's where its time to layout the mounting for the electronic controls and engine harnass's and computers.

I had everything maped out on the shop floor along with the Glendenning controls and it's computer boxes and stood back and just sigh'd.

There is more electrical on this than under the hood of my truck. What the heck ever happened to simplicity?

More connectors, more sensors than the vault at a casino.

It also looks as if they don't all plug and play which will be fun to figure out. I'll post some pics soon as to the progress of the repower and especially the electrical end.

I don't record keep like Pat, but I think this is much more interesting than the standard install.

I will also be going to Gerry Santiago's boat to do the Teleflex controls on his Yanmars. I'll document that for anyone who wants the info.

Update on the new fly by wire Volvo's I was supposed to put in a Tiara. They have been on order for 5 weeks. Volvo gives no indication of when they will be available. They just say they are selling so many engines they can't keep up.

They told me they were in stock when I sent the check. Hummmmmmmmm.

Here's another nut job email I got today.
This guys tin foil hat is too tight!

"Good Government is Compassion Applied IN ADVANCE

Friends,

On Wednesday, October 19, when I tuned in the Weather Channel just after 5 AM, I heard the weather channel anchors expressing stunned disbelief that tropical storm Wilma had in an extremely short period of time turned into the most powerful category 5 hurricane in history. The were aghast that the barometric pressure in the core of the hurricane had fallen 78 millibars (mb) in only 9 hrs to a reading of 884 mb, with corresponding winds having risen to 175 miles per hour (from 110 MPH 6 hours earlier). (http://www.weather.com/newscenter/tropical/?from=wxcenter_news)

In my view there is so much evidence that our Federal government has the necessary weather management technology to de-fang hurricane Wilma, we would be wise to call them on this and demand that they use that technology now. The issue of trying to figure out why they might allow the projected toll of human suffering to occur if they have the means to prevent it is not worth the expenditure of effort at the moment. Instead, just like so many other things in this country we have to face the reality that people in government will often not do the right thing unless we demand it. With this in mind I have already sent faxes to President Bush and US Senators Martinez and Nelson. I have not yet contacted my US Congressman but hope to do so shortly.

If you would like to contact the people I have mentioned or other government officials, following is a list of evidentiary talking points with references:

1. Well known professional meteorologist Scott Stevens (who has now been interviewed on hundreds of radio and TV shows, including the O’Reilly Factor) has on his website, www.weatherwars.info, numerous annotated pictures of the upper cloud surface of Hurricane Katrina (http://www.weatherwars.info/katrina.htm) in which he points out what says are totally unnatural anomalies at various locations on the cloud surface, which could only have been caused by beams of energy (such as particle beams) being used to intensify and/or steer the hurricane.

Items 2 through 4 are taken from a September 12, 2005 article by Mike Blair for the American Free Press (http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/harnessing_weather.html):

2. The United States, in 1977 signed a U.N. treaty entitled "the Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques", further described as follows:

According to a UN pamphlet, titled Basic Facts about the United Nations, which was published in 1994, the world body negotiated the Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques in 1977. This “prohibits the use of techniques that would have widespread, long-lasting or severe effects through deliberate manipulation of natural processes and cause such phenomena as earthquakes, tidal waves, and changes in climate and in weather patterns.” (http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/harnessing_weather.html)

3. In it’s September 12, 2005 article on “Harnessing Weather), the American Free Press recounts an October 2, 1992 story about a state owned Russian weather management company, including an assertion by a company director that Hurricane Andrew in 1991 COULD HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO A “WIMPY LITTLE SQUALL”. Here are some details:

On Oct. 2, 1992, The Wall Street Journal reported that a Russian company, Elate Intelligent Technologies, Inc., has weather control equipment for sale and uses the advertising slogan of “weather made to order.”

Igor Pirogoff, director of the company, said “Elate is capable of fine-tuning weather patterns over a 200-squaremile area for as little as $200 U.S. per day,” the newspaper reported.

A year before the article was written, Hurricane Andrew caused $30 billion in damages as it plowed through the South. Pirogoff said Andrew could have been turned into “a wimpy little squall.” (http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/harnessing_weather.html)

4. On Nov. 13, 1997, The Wall Street Journal reported that Russia had offered and Malaysia had accepted a proposal to have a man-made cyclone uses in an attempt to dissipate smoke out of the air over Malaysia :

Those who doubt that Katrina, or any other hurricane, could be stopped—or created—can find substantiation in a long-forgotten article by Chen May Yee in the Nov. 13, 1997, issue of The Wall Street Journal.

The article recounts an offer by the Russians to aid Malaysia to create a typhoon to dissipate a pall of smoke that hung over the country—and still does—caused by the burning of large sections of the rain forests in Indonesia and Sumatra.

To quote from the article: Datuk Law Hieng Ding, Malaysia’s minister for science, technology and the environment at the time, said his country “would use special technology to create an artificial cyclone to clean the air.”

5. On his website, www.WeatherWars.info, meteorologist Scott Stevens, quotes the following statement made by Secretary of Defense William Cohen in 1997:

"Others are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves. So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations. It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify our efforts, and that's why this is so important."

[Secretary of Defense William Cohen at an April 1997 counter-terrorism conference sponsored by former Senator Sam Nunn. Quoted from DoD News Briefing, Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen, Q&A at the Conference on Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and U.S. Strategy, University of Georgia , Athens , Apr. 28, 1997].

6. Companion bills, both entitled “The Weather Modification Research and Technology Transfer Authorization Act of 2005” have been introduced in the United States House of Representatives and in the United Senate during 2005. Both say they are “To establish the Weather Modification Operations and Research Board, and for other purposes.”

S. 517: Introduced into the United States Senate by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX) on March 3, 2005 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d109:s.00517: and http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:S.517:)

H.R. 2995: Introduced into the United States House of Representatives by Rep. Mark Udall (CO) on June 20, 2005 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquerytr/z?d109:HR02995: and http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.2995:)

The purpose of this email is to encourage you to call the White House, your United States Representative and two Senators and demand that the government use its weather modification technology to “de-fang” Hurricane Wilma immediately."

I thought James Bond had killed Blofeld.
