John,
If the storm track veers to our south the weather people tell me that we will have no storm surge here to the north of it. It will suck all the water out and continue on it's NE path. If that scenario still plays tommorrow then I will leave it in the cradle tied to the cradle and the lift tied to the cleats on the seawall. But that is all according to the models and predicated on the the cold front that is comming down. One thing for sure this storm will not go away as I hoped. If it veers a litle northward then I must evacuate the Can Do It inland as I did last year with Charlie. I put her between the first two sets of locks 38 miles from her home in freshwater non tidel in the Coloosahacthee Waterway right with all the Coast Guard boats from Ft. Myers Beach. If that happens it's anyones guess of another Katrina nightmare. The surge yesterday was predicated to be 15 feet at Everglades City south of Naples. You know how that goes. Some places higher someplaces lower. In any event no matter what this is another very dangerous storm that we all our on our hands and knees over. It's in His hands. Dave K
