Phil,

The H21 Hynautic helm, (1" sraight shaft), & Release Marine's 15" single spoke wheel is the combination I prefer. On "Buddy Boy" and "Zero Cavity" I went for the wheel with set screws in the hub, no acorn nut. The wheel below was for Adrian Mercado's B31 in Puetro Rico.

To use the H21 with the set screw wheel, simply cut the threaded stud off of the helm shaft...

Release Marine's wheels are available in chrome over brass, stainless steel, or aluminum. Sizes are available in either 13" or 15". For the molded fiberglass console, the 13" may be more proportional, but the 15" looks and works just fine too.
