Dug,
Got your email with 11 extreamly large images of your flood situation, and again, I feel for your aggravation...
But you need to learn some image editing skills, or employ them if you already know how. First sending someone 11 megs in a single message is bad form, especially when your receipient has not requested your mailing & has no prior knowlege that it's coming.
Even with DSL service, the transfer from the server to my email client was a loooonnnnggg download, and then you had them all stacked into the body of the message. In short you almost gaged my machine, and I spent the better part of 20 minutes just getting to view some lack luster photography. If any of your other receipients are only on a dial up service they'll have time to do a load of laundry before their download finishes.
Any image over 600x400 pixels & uncompressed is a pain in the ass for anyone other than printers and graphic artists. Rarely does an email or net image need to be over 50k in size. Hell, a 2304x1708 pixel image won't even fit into the screen of the average montor without scroll bars.
Br,
Patrick
