Mack and gang,

I haven't had much luck with the one part Interlux Brightside using and painting it outside. However when I painted my old engine boxes in the garage using a two part Interlux barrier coat primer it came out fine. Spraying the side panels with a one part primer and two coats of Interlux Brightside resulted in fair but not good results. Using the Brightside for outside painting between the sun and dew at night it did not work well and soon came peeling off. So This time around I used Awlgrip 545 primer and Imron on the topside. Great results. I just rolled Gelcoat on the new engine boxes and side panels this time. I did use a heat gun to remove all coatings off the side panels first though. Turned out pretty good. I love the 545 primer and have not found any better primer. Just make sure you use a respirator. Dave K
