Warning-Loud Hailer

I just spent 1 1/2 days mounting the horn for a loud hailer on the projection on the flybridge,just down from the windshield.

When I went up on the bridge for final alignment and picked up the horn the compass reading CHANGED 14deg.

So much for a day and a half concentrated work.

Any ideas where to mount the horn????

P.S. Is there a horn without a permanet magnet?
