Mack- Those 6bt's are either 210's or 250's. I have the 210's on an older (heavy) Sportsfisherman. It cruises at 20 kts and burns about 7 gals per hour. I consistantly get about 1.5 mpg no matter what the load on board. I kept the 1 3/8" shafts, no change in my tank or rudders. Did change my props to 20"x 20"'s. If you do it, your maintenance seasonally will be changing 2 fuel filters and 2 engine zincs in the spring and an oil filter and oil change (13-14 qts per engine) in the fall. The boat WILL handle differently. Docking will be easier. With trolling valves (I don't have them), you'll be able to slooow troll easily. I have to go on one engine. They will outlast gassers as mine I have figured would have had 2 sets of engines since I made the change to diesels. Walter
