Charlie-I agree with you on the B-35. It was underpowered when it first came out, but with the new diesels available now, it would certainly be my next favorite sportsfishing boat. What I was hoping for on the 36 was what Liberty did with their 43. Keep the big cockpit, accessable engines, low profile, and give the fisherman more bridge and storage space, and his family more living space within the classic lines that have passed the test of time. A Hinkley, new or old, looks like a Hinkley. As does a Merrit, as does a Rybovich, as does a Buddy Davis, etc. Why throw away such a heritage to compete with the bubble boats when your look has proven it's not a fad to be looked at as dated when the next "look" comes around. I'm sure it's pretty and performs well, but to me is just another boat in the already crowded express cruiser category. Many of us were hoping for a standout classic Bertram that addressed the shortcomings of our beloved 31's and performed just as well. Oh well, it's not a perfect world. Walter
