Doug,

I agree with you 100%... +/- as much as 500# from what I've seen. They measure hydraulic pressure independantly for the front and aft slings. The two readings added together indicate the total weight of the load being lifted. Between bad gauges & operator math, (error), it's apt to be off. A lot of older travel lifts don't even have functional gauges anymore and the operator is strictly flying on gut instinct.
