Steering

I beleive I have teleflex steering (31 FBC). Last weekend it was stuck. I was able to work it out.
Can anyone advise what I should be lubricating and where besides the fittings on the rudder posts? I'd also appreciate information on the type of lubricant I should be using.
I'll probably have to replace it over the winter. Does anyone have any experience switching over to power steering? This would enable me to add an auto pilot at sometime. I also plan to replace the rudders this winter.
