I think you ought to register it as "custom" and use the SN you have , when the time comes . (That will cause), you'll have to get it inspected by the government entity (in La. the State Police do the inspecting and putting on of SNs for custom built boats, trailers, etc...) in order to put a SN on it but when the cop comes to the boat and sees the SN he'll just use that and correct the maker too at that time . Try to swim downstream, what's the hurry?
