You've got to have one on the West Coast with all the anchoring in bad neighborhoods we do at the islands. It also comes in handy when transfering things between other boats in sloopy weather. We put some guy out there with the squid net to hand over to another boat. Also, I'll put an angler up there to cast mackerel in front of a marlin, or to cast into some boiler rocks that I don't want near my fiberglass.
