In Response To: UVI 6 update (Vic Roy)

Still no final word from TSL on a rate reduction, if any, for our group. My plan to use our law firm's trust account to hold the money got shot down by my inquiry to the head honcho of our state bar ethics board. He says 'don't do it' it cound be comingling your personal interest's money with your firm's client's money, just don't do it. My gut told me that might be an issue which is why I called him this morning after reflecting on it.

So I plan to just set up a new checking account at our local bank (Regions Bank) called something clever like "UVI 6" and just keep track of who paid what and when and the disbursements to TSL on a spreadsheet that will be available to all who pony up.

Since we have at or over the capacity of the TSL interested right now, my intention is to call for an advance of $1,000 per person in a few weeks so we can have the cheese to plunk down the grand a boat deposit, and see who's really committed so we will know how many boats to deposit for, sort of a chicken & egg deal. I'll set a deadline for the initial advance, then if we are under the capacity of the TSL, will open it up for fence-sitters to jump in, or something like that. Don't forget, it's the Uncle VIC Invitational, and I still make the rules as we go, and of course, I win. If we get initial deposits over the capacity, I will make the cut. Anyone cut will obviously get their money back. I will not make this complicated guys, book it.
