Big Debt of Gratitude

Well, unfortunately I am a self proclaimed expert at evacuating from monster hurricanes...two "hundred year storms" in less than 4 weeks. I think somebody needs a refresher in statistics 101. Fortunately, Robin and I and our 2 cats had the pleasure of evacuating to lovely Longview Texas and a extended visit with the UVII Surgeon General, Matt Holcomb, and family, to whom we owe a big debt of gratitude. Great food, drinks, new friends and just good ole fashion southern hospitality...East Texas Style. Even played some Texas Hold em poker.
The trip back to Houston was pretty uneventful. Took the back roads to avoid the traffic log jam and ventured pretty close to the inland path of the storm. Lots of trees down across power lines and roads and a few missing roofs. Made the 220+ mile trip in about 6 hours which was a 3 hour improvement over the trip up.
I will be living and working in downtown Houston for the foreseeable future (3-6 months minimum). I hope to get down and see Judge, Ernest, Tom and Mike when the dust settles from Rita.
Hope all the faithful along the Texas coast faired well. Thanks again Matt.
