Spoke with the owner of the yard in New Orleans today and they did not appear to have any more damage from Rita, guess getting tore up by Katrina was enough. He says AJ has some "rub rash" and will need a paint job and one pipe on either the half tower or the cockpit sun shade (I forgot to ask which) was bent. He said he was pretty confident that the running gear was OK from what he could see. He says they should get their boat handling equipment running this week and will untangle the mess in the warehouse. His biggest problem is most of his employees lived in the Chalmette area of N.O. and it's totally destroyed so no where for them to live. He's trying to talk FEMA into loaning him some travel trailers to put at the yard for his people...... The ramifications of all this just never seem to end.
Water at the camp is receding and I should be able to get over there mid to late week to clean up, since the Bride's birthday bash is supposed to be there this weekend. It was supposed to be a the Ritz Carlton in N.O. with dinner at Commander's Palace, but Katrina took care of that. Maybe we ought to have it in Idaho.......
