Wood laminated with plastic laminate(Formica) is the preferred method but Nidacore or others will work. The cored fiberglass panels are a lot more expensive. $255 a sheet finished then you have to prime and paint them. Most of us do the 1/2" over the exisiting good bulkhead or 3/4" all new laminated using thickened epoxy for the adhesive for the laminate. See Patrick's post under "Buddy Boy" "Start to finish" The details of building the bulkhead are there. That's the way I did mine and a vertical surface laminated will last a very long time if maintained. It can be done with all plastic but the cost would be triple that of laminted marine plywood and it's more labor. Dave K
