You can Buy caps for your raw water strainers that have a ball valve and a hose fitting built into it. I think they're called Thoroughflush. All you have to do is shut off your intake valve and connect the hose to the strainer. I use it in the Northeast as a method to run antifreeze through the engine for winterizing, but it would work for flushing, too. Walter
