attended a public haering last night in west islip, ny and understand there will be additional ones---i don't have the schedule----turnout was about 35 people--which was considered good----about 25 from one fishing club--i think it was south shore marlin & tuna club---no commercial people there---any dedicated offshore anglers should look up the schedule and try to attend.

as a group all very conservation minded and expressed a unified concern-and that long liners are the biggest problem.

i think there is a meeting tonite in montauk at the montauk fire house 7:00-10:00
