While I can't answer personally, I can direct you to the resource I'd use, available through the site.
Nigel Calder's "Boatowners Mechanical and Electrical Manual"
There are sections for sizing your AC and DC requirements. These are what would drive the size of Genset you'd need. Also, pay attention to the Air Conditioner compressor starting draw (#amps needed to start the unit), I recall a thread where the draw amps were too much for the gen and the Air conditioner didn't work properly.
The common sense approach, the largest you can fit and afford...
I have a B35 with 2-a/c units, batt charger and refer, 2 burner cooktop and microwave. The only thing I can't do is run the microwave when the a/c is on. I've got an early 90's Onan 6.5kw which makes power at about 1800 rpms. Which reminds me of another point to consider, the lower the rpm of the Genset the quieter it will be.
All in all, I love having a Genset onboard for the comfort and piece of mind.
good luck,
John
