Thoughts on gens and A/C

I am starting to research the purchase of a gen set and a/c for a larger boat I have. I am basically very uninformed on this subject. I need some pointers on how to correctly size a gen set, reliable brands, and the same for A/C.

Capt Pat, any word on the bow trailer fittings?
