After much thought I ended up using two conventional black plastic battery boxes the size of each battery on the shelf individually strapped down with SS fittings and then blocked with aluminum "angle iron".
Al,
I worried about my conventional 20 amp charger too but UV pointed out that unless I let them fully discharge that the conventional charger would work. When I turned on the power today they charged at 20 amps, did not trip the charger breaker and after 4 hours the charging amps dropped down to -10. UV was right (as usual).
